So I know this recipe came from an advertisement in one of my Bon Appetit's - but I have had for a while and no date on recipe but.......... SO GOOD and different than "my normal" meatballs. They are called Mama's Meatballs and Mama's Marinara by Rocci DiSpirito. Mark is so appreciative of most everything I cooked, but he must have said ten times how good this dinner was. The picture shows the meatballs and sauce over rotini, but the first night I put over spaghetti.
The sauce was very easy to make, and I let the sauce and meatballs simmer for a couple of hours. The meatballs were so tender but did not fall apart. I used half the eggs suggested - the meatballs would have probably been more solid, but we enjoyed how tender they were. Try this recipe - it will not disappoint.
